I have so many things I should be doing, like finishing up my comprehensive round-up of the first round of Nerds Heart YA decisions. Internet, I am pretty wordy so I am having some issues, but maybe that post will be along soon. I have also been attempting to read a book, titled How to Buy a Love of Reading and I can safely say I expected one thing and have quite honestly been given another, and am curious as to why the publisher thought this book might have crossover appeal. To me, yes, but I like thinky books, although I’m less a fan about books about rich white people with problems. I have problems, rich white people! LET ME SHOW YOU. They totally trump yours! I am struggling to feed myself; you’re complaining your kid is fat—as a teenager! Why, let me cry you a river.
Well, let’s hope it gets better! Because this book wasn’t published as YA, this is a great opening to say: I am going to start posting some bookish content and all my reviews here! Yes, even the reviews for books that aren’t published as YA novels. THIS ISN’T A BIG CHANGE: I read mostly YA lit, anyway, because I am awesome and have great taste in books! Books not published as YA will have their reviews clearly marked, as will other content I end up cross-posting? One day I will figure out the best way to take part in the book community. FREE ADVICE: it is not through OpenID and I know through personal and painful experience.
In closing, why couldn’t Twilight have been about Edward and Jacob’s doomed love? *sob*
